Juliane Solmsdorf was born 1977 in Berlin, Germany.
The artist lives and works in Berlin and Paris
After finishing her studies in 2005 in Berlin, and having realized several exhibitions afterwards she went to Citée des Arts, Paris in 2008, with a scholarship from the German capital.
She works mainly in the field of installation and reconstructs objects using photographs taken from found situations.
Her most recent exhibitions were at Chelsea Art Museum, New York, Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe, Galerie Center Berlin - a solo exhibition, Salzburger Kunstverein, White Space Gallery, London and Grazer Kunstverein.
